Blogging goal for 2011

JANUARY 08 2011

Looking back at 2010 I didn't really blog as much as I wanted to, so I have decided to do at least 12 blog posts in 2011, which are all related to Umbraco. I will probably also be blogging about future meetups in Copenhagen and package releases, but these are not included in the 12 blog posts for 2011. The goal is to write posts that others will find useful or educating in some way. I think of them as posts that would have helped me in developing sites with Umbraco had I read them prior to a given implementation.

So far I have 8 ideas on my todo list, and I'm sure the last 4 will come along by the end of the year. I would be surprised if I don't find anything in relation to Umbraco v5 to write about :)

There is nothing secret about the upcoming stuff, so here is the list and I hope it will awake some interest among other developers - and hopefully not to much impatience ;)

  1. Umbraco on Azure Series: SQL Azure
  2. Umbraco on Azure Series: Deploying to Azure with Accelerator
  3. Autocomplete with jQuery and WCF in Umbraco (CWS)
  4. Google Analytics with jQuery
  5. Umbraco developer setup (TFS & DDD)
  6. Custom indexing with Umbraco Examine
  7. Using OAuth with Universal Media Picker
  8. Showing top posts using data from Google Analytics

So stay turned as the first two posts will be published over the next two weeks. As for the others ... they will most likely be published on a monthly basis. I have a package (cough Google Analytics cough) that needs to be updated and released as soon as possible.

Hah, I actually read that post last night FTW :-P But hopefully I have avoided a majority of the Clichés. I know I'm hitting No#3 spot on and maybe no#6, but no random photo or name dropping and most importanly no F**k ;)
